Frequently Asked Questions
Unlike most preschools, Park Prep Academy operates as a multi-age classroom where students are grouped primarily by ability rather than age. The exceptional Staff: Student ratio of 1:5 allows the Park Prep Academy head teachers to work one-on-one with each student every day. Also, parent involvement is greatly encouraged, although not required. Parents and family members are invited into the Park Prep Academy classroom every morning to spend up to thirty minutes playing, chatting, and observing their child in action!
All students must be at least two years and six months to begin school. Applications may be submitted before the child turns two years and six months. After turning five years old, students graduate from Park Prep Academy and head into Kindergarten.
Park Prep Academy has a rolling admission schedule therefore there is no deadline by which an application must be submitted; however, decisions regarding enrollment for September are made in March of the previous school year. Applications should be submitted around January, before March, to ensure that a child is given priority consideration for admission during the upcoming school year.
Priority is given to students that are toilet-trained but it is not a requirement for admission into the academy.
Within fourteen days of receipt of an application, you will receive a phone call from the director, Justine Wanat, to inform you of your child’s admission standing.
