“Superhero Adventure Week” has come and gone and boy, was it SUPER! Read on below to learn all about the fun that was had and learning that took place!
The students had a blast transforming into SUPERHEROES this week! In order to begin the official transformation, each student was asked to bring in an old adult-sized t-shirt. With a little help from the teachers, the t-shirts were cut into a very different shape. With a lot of special fabric paint, the students transformed these old cut-up t-shirts into authentic and custom-made superhero capes! While the capes were set aside to dry, the students took turns coming up with their superhero names! Some of the superheroes that were present at Park Prep this week included Firefly Girl, Dragonman, Sharkgirl, Volcano Boy, ABC Man, WonderCrab, Hulk, Ironlady, Waterwoman, Super Izzy and more!
Naturally, the superhero capes were fantastic but something was missing – a mask! The students created the perfect mask to match (or not match) their capes! What fun it was!
The students also visited The Great Story Play Place this week! They spent the entire time running, climbing, bouncing, playing and more! Whether they were in the jungle gym, the sand area, the ball pit, train tables, etc. one thing was for sure – they had a blast!
The students were also visited by a special guest this week – a PPA Aunt and Cousin who were in town visiting from Kansas! The Auntie photographed below happens to be a Kindergarten teacher in Kansas so she decided to read a story to the class. After reading a PPA Favorite, The Day The Crayons Came Back, by Drew Daywalt, the Auntie praised the PPA students for being such fantastic listeners! She said they seem ready for Kindergarten already! 🙂 A special PPA Thank You to the family photographed below for visiting us this week.
