Justine Wanat – “Miss Justine”

Justine Wanat – “Miss Justine”

Director/ Head Teacher

Justine received her Dual-Master’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at The Bank Street College of Education in Manhattan, New York, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Connecticut.   At Bank Street, Justine received Master of Science Degrees in both Early Childhood and Elementary Childhood General Education. These intricate degrees prepared Justine to work with children infants to sixth grade. While taking detailed courses, Justine completed her supervised fieldwork in the four year old classroom at The Fieldston School in Riverdale, New York. Following her time at Fieldston, Justine was with the five/six year olds at Bank Street School for Children then finally in a fifth grade classroom at George Washington Elementary School in White Plains New York. Previously, Justine taught at St. Dominic’s School for Children with Emotional Disability in Blauvelt, New York.  She is also the sister of Assistant Director/Head Teacher, Jocelyn Carley, and daughter of PPA Assistant Teacher, Elizabeth Greenwald and the late Dr. Michael Greenwald, former PPA physician.

The enthuastic energy with which Justine leads a classroom along with her vast experiences as a part of such reknowned school communities has been the driving force behind Park Prep Academy becoming one of the premier private preschools in Hudson County.

Jocelyn Carley – “Miss Jocelyn”

Jocelyn Carley – “Miss Jocelyn”

Assistant Director/ Head Teacher

Jocelyn received her Dual-Master’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at The Rutgers Graduate School of Education as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in New Brunswick, N.J.   These degrees prepared Jocelyn to work with children preschool age through grade eight.  Jocelyn has instructed students throughout various classrooms throughout New Jersey including pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first grade, third grade and seventh grade.  Aside from her teaching experiences, Jocelyn is also an accomplished volleyball player and was named Captain of the Rutgers University Women’s Volleyball team.  She is also the sister of Director, Justine Wanat, and daughter of PPA Assistant Teacher, Elizabeth Greenwald and the late Dr. Michael Greenwald, former PPA physician.

Jocelyn’s caring nature and extraordinary ability to connect with students of all ages and comfort levels inspires and promotes the growth and development of each child she encounters. Also, Jocelyn’s extensive background in athletics has prepared her nicely to lead Park Prep Academy’s Gross Motor Development program.

Miss Sherita has nearly half a decade of experience working as an Assistant Teacher at Park Prep Academy. She holds an undergraduate degree in the field of Early Childhood/Elementary Education.

Miss Elizabeth has nearly half a decade of experience working as an Assistant Teacher at Park Prep Academy.  She is currently completing her undergraduate degree in the field of Early Childhood/Elementary Education.  She is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish fluently.

Miss Aimee is pursuing an undergraduate degree in the field of Early Childhood/Elementary Education.  She is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish fluently.   She is an integral part of both the school day as well as the Afterschool program.
